What is Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Therapy been referred to as a psychological version of acupuncture, it involves making contact with a number of acupuncture points.

This is usually done by tapping on these points, whilst focusing on a specific thought, feeling or image. The specific points tapped are the end-points of the major meridians – meridians are channels of subtle energy which flow through our body.

What can EFT be used for?

This technique has been found to be helpful when combating uncomfortable, distressing or traumatic feelings. People have reported that it has allowed them to relieve intense emotions, such as, anger, anxiety, guilt or sadness. It can also be helpful with deep rooted feelings such as phobias or post traumatic stress disorder. Some people have even found it to be useful with persistent physical sensations, such as dizziness, pain or cravings.
