Description

SportsMask designed by breathing expert Patrick McKeown. Used with Oxygen Advantage technique to perform high altitude training.

When altitude is simulated, pulse oximetry will show your blood oxygen saturation (SpO2%) lowering to below 91%. By wearing SportsMask while applying the OxygenAdvantage technique, you can observe your blood oxygen saturation lower to 80 to 87%, simulating training at an altitude of 4,000-5,000 meters (13,000- 16,400 ft).

Only SportsMask designed for use with the scientific technique to replicate high altitude training conditions
In comparison to high intensity interval training (HIIT), a much stronger anaerobic glycolysis is generated, but without the risk of injury. This greatly disturbs the blood acid base balance, causing the body to make adaptations to delay the onset of lactic acid and fatigue.

Delayed onset of fatigue and lactic acid, improved aerobic performance
In addition, an extra load is added to the breathing muscles, thereby strengthening them. This is important in high intensity (MMA) as well as endurance activities, as respiratory muscle fatigue is common in athletes. When the respiratory muscles fatigue, blood is diverted from the legs and the athlete cannot sustain exercise intensity.

Sports Mask- applied to improve performance in both high intensity and endurance sports including

  • Running
  • Cycling
  • Swimming
  • Mixed Martial Arts
  • Boxing
  • Team sports including rugby, football, basketball, ice hockey and more
